WCMOne runs plant maintenance in one system: a shift queue for the supervisor, an offline phone app for the technician, and breakdowns worked to a root cause. It already runs maintenance at a car plant.

An Araval product

A maintenance team’s day is split between the floor and the desk. WCMOne keeps both on one record, from the moment a line stops to the review at the end of the month.

It is built for plants that run World Class Manufacturing: breakdowns are worked to a root cause, preventive maintenance is planned every week, and the evidence for a pillar review comes out of the records.

At the desk and at the machine.

  • The supervisor works from one queue at the line PC: what is stopped, late, unassigned or waiting for a signature, acted on in place.
  • The technician scans a machine’s QR label, reports a stop in seconds and works through the shift on a phone app that keeps working offline.
  • Text and buttons on the phone are sized for gloves.
  • The shift’s reading, signing and handover happen on the screen instead of on paper.

What it covers.

Breakdowns

  • A line stop becomes a breakdown report (EWO), raised at the desk or from the phone
  • Worked to a root cause with 5W1H, causes and five whys
  • Costed, with countermeasure tasks and a sign-off

Equipment and planned maintenance

  • Every machine registered, with a QR label linking to its own page
  • Preventive maintenance planned into tasks every week
  • Jobs run against a procedure, with measured time

Spares and stores

  • Requisitions through an approval chain
  • Issue, return, count and reorder against the job they are for
  • Tools red-tagged, repaired and put back

Safety

  • Lock-out/tag-out with a witness
  • Permits to work that authorise only with their controls in place
  • Incidents, anonymous reports from a QR poster, and hazard identification (HIRA)

Calibration

  • Measuring instruments calibrated on their own interval
  • Sent to a lab and back, with the record kept
  • Taken out of use when a point fails, and the case judged and signed off

WCM and reporting

  • Step audits, kaizen and the WCM road map
  • KPI reports that export for the monthly review
  • Procedures drafted from a machine manual with AI, approved by a supervisor before use

A record the plant can trust.

  • A job is accepted by someone other than the person who did it, so a signature means somebody else checked.
  • A record that is evidence of safety or money cannot be rewritten after the fact.
  • Every change to a person, a role or what a role may do is kept with who made it and when.
  • The numbers in the monthly review come out of the records, not a spreadsheet typed up for it.
In production

WCMOne already runs maintenance at a car plant.

To try it in your plant, we start with a pilot on one production line.
